Do you ever find yourself doing things just to impress someone?

I haven’t felt this way in so long and it fucking sucks that its not reciprocated. Like what tit decided that it would be cool if one person liked someone and the other thought that they were hideous. Can we not just be presented with our soul mates at birth? This is fucking ridiculous
